Is it "Acknowledgments" or "Acknowledgements"?
Hello there, hope you have a nice day!
I've had "Acknowledgements" marked incorrect in my essay by the auto-correct function. But I found it is written in that way in a book I was reading earlier (The Language of Evaluation by J. R. Martin and P. R. R. White) and I tried to search some other English references... some of them are written as "Acknowledgements", while some are "Acknowledgments". Are both correct?
Thanks in advance for any help.

It's the difference between American and British English.
Acknowledgements = British
Acknowledgments = American
You'll often find that spell checkers don't like you writing in British English (although they're getting better). I don't know how many times I've had a report returned to me because it has automatically changed "colour" to "color" and I didn't notice.
