deadline: a date or time by which something must be done or completed. meet a deadline: have something finished on time. miss a deadline: not to finish something on time. 'When you’re trying to meet a deadline, every moment counts.' 'I was doing too many things at once so I missed some important deadlines.' There is an idiom which means 'to hurry to meet a deadline or to do smething quickly' = 'fight against time' There is another idiom which means 'to do something before a deadline; to finish before the time is up' = 'to beat the clock/deadline' or 'race against time' 'We had to race against time to finish before the deadline.'

Hello Bulent , A 'deadline' is a time or date before which a particular task must be finished or a particular thing must be done. If you 'meet something' such as a problem or challenge, you deal with it satisfactorily or do what is required. So the sentence means: " I am trying to do and accomplish the required important task at or before the date determined for this task to be finished."
