what does naka de ii mean. naka=inside de=particle ii=?

Not a big matter, but let me correct myself just in case. That "de" is not the same particle like in "Gakko-de aimasu(meet at the school.)" or "Densha-de ikimasu(go by train.)" So you may not find the meaning of "a choice which is not preferred" in dictionary for "de(particle)".

de=a choice which is not quite preferred (particle) ii=good, ok, fine (adjective) Naka de ii.= Inside is ok.
