less. Fruit is uncountable. We can never say "fruits". However, types of fruit are countable - I have FEWER bananas, oranges, pears and lemons than apples. I have LESS fruit in total than you.

Fruit can be countable and uncountable, depending on context. If it is fruit in general, it is not countable. Ex. I eat seven pieces of fruit a day. If it is more specific and requires emphasis, it can be countable. Ex. I love Costa Rican fruits such as mangoes, papayas, and plantains. Ex. These fruits are rotten.

That's really interesting because I would always say "I love Costa Rican fruit, such as mangoes, papayas and plantain." "This fruit is rotten". However, on googling it...both forms of the plural do exist...maybe in England we use it less...or maybe I'm wrong! :s
