The language is called vèneto or vènet in Venetian, veneto in Italian; the variant spoken in Venice is called venexiàn/venesiàn or veneziano.

The main language is italian, but there's a dialect -in this case venetian dialect- that derives from Italian, but with some little differences both phonic and grammatical. Every region in Italy has a different dialect some more understandable than other.

Regular Italilan is the primary language. But the Venetian language is very widely spoken there.
