Please help me out with an introduction! Hey, firends.I am doing my dissertation defense for doctoral degree in two days. It will be all in English. Before my presentation, my supervisor has to introduce me briefly, The following is the introduction i wrote. Please help me correct it. Thank you very much! Tim Li, 32 years old, graduated with a Bachelor degree from Harbin Medical University in 2003 and started his Master degree of Cardiology at the First Clinical College of HMU in 2004. Due to his prominent work and achievements in scientific research, he was admitted to the doctoral program in 2006. During his doctoral study, he has been focusing on the mechanisms of ventricular remodeling in cardiovascular diseases and has authored or coauthored more than 10 papers in both domestic and international journals. In addition, he has performed excellently in Internal Medicine Training and become a qualified doctor. So, I recommend him to do the dissertation defense.

Everything is fine, in my opinion, except for the last sentence. You no longer need to be recommended (in the sense - as worthy to hold a position or worthy to defend) since you have already been accepted as a candidate to defend your dissertation. If you are using "recommend" to mean "present as worthy" the sentence should read: So, I recommend him to you FOR the defense of his dissertation. or more formally, So, I recommend him to you (my distinguished collegues)* for the defense of his dissertation. * the committee of professors who are judging your defense.
