trip and journey are synonyms, i.e., they mean approximately the same thing and they can be interchangeable (either one can be used), however, "trip and journey" is usually used to describe travelling from point A to point B, or from A to B and back to A (round trip). In 2010 we usually use "trip" rather than "journey". A journey is more like a voyage. "voyage" usually refers to a longer trip or journey, as Jura said, but a voyage is often used to describe travelling that may not have a end point, e.g., A voyage of a thousand steps. OR A voyage from here to eternity. OR A voyage with no end in sight. The word voyage is less specific than trip and is often used in fictional stories. The US launched a space craft called 'Voyageur', that was launched from earth and will travel through our solar system and then onward for eternity. In common use, we would use trip, then journey, then voyage.
