As Selene said, Cifles are made from Bananas, just keep in mind that in contrast to plantains, bananas are mostly eaten as a fruit here (Perú)

Chifles or tajadas are circular chips made by frying green plantains or green bananas .In Ecuador chifles are made with green bananas most of the time. Here's the recipe

Do not forget to remove the shells to bananas, also are delicious ripe banana slices, and made the same way.
