'Suit' means a) to look good or becoming 'That dress really suits you'. b) to be pleasing, agreeable or satisfying. ' The arrangements suit me fine' c) to be suitable 'wear something that suits the occasion. ('fit' can also be used in this way) 'Fit' is also used to describe a) something that is the right size. 'That dress fits you well b) to make room or space for something. The restaurant is full but they said they will try to fit us in.'
