What does " body segments" means? Orginal Text: A single body degree of freedom (Fig. 2) is located between body segments, and allows the robot to modify its posture. My translation in chinese: 单个机器人的的自由度(如图二所示)位于身体各段之间,从而允许机器人对其姿势进行修正。 hope you can help me modify it. hope I can make friend with you through learning english.

The body is divided into regions called segments. The 8 main body segments are : head, trunk, arms, forearms, hands, thighs, legs and feet. There are many other secondary segments.

The robot in the figure has a front segment and a rear segment. "Segment" here means a piece, or an assembly of the robot that has a pair of legs. The segments are connected with a hinge that allows the robot to climb - the front segment will bend up to start climbing a pole while the rear segment is still horizontal and on the ground. The "single body degree of freedom" is that hinge with a motor that allows the two segments to move relative to each other. It's a neat looking robot, too: http://kodlab.seas.upenn.edu/uploads/Gch/rise-v3-paper.pdf
