How to understand the two sentences ? 1) you may not use any of the words in the bank more than once! 2)Their ability to withstand almost any disaster makes them seem like something out of a comic bookI just can't make sense what "out of "in the second sentence mean.

It means they seem to be from a comic book.

Out is the adverb. Of is the preposition. It is out of a book. It is extremely like you. It is exactly on the table.
