I am wondering why I can speak English to my children. Maybe I have tried several times and it makes me believe I will fail? Perhaps my children are old enough to speak with them with simple English? Or maybe because they hardly response me in English? Or the reason is that my English is not good or I was lazy speaking in English, or I forget to speak in English and speak Vietnamese y the way. I don't know why but the longest time I spoke English to them was only one month. Now, I am trying again to speak in English.

I wonder why I can't speak English to my children? I have tried several times but maybe believe I will fail? Perhaps my children are too old to speak to with simple English? Or maybe because they hardly respond to me in English? Perhaps because my English isn't as good or I'm lazy to speak English. By the way, I forget to speak English and speak Vietnamese instead. I don't know why but the longest time I spoke English to them was only one month. Now, I am trying again to speak in English.
Good luck with your English improvement Molly. I'm in Asia and teach several Vietnamese children & parents like your family, where teens/kids often learn faster. Your writing communicates well already so I feel mean to suggest corrections. Please don't lose confidence or motivation.
