Victory An act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition: "an election victory". tri·umph/ˈtrīəmf/ A great victory or achievement.

To triumph means to have a victory which emphasizes winning. Conquering is also emerging victorious but it's more about beating someone. For example if you were to get perfect grades, then you would triumph over your classmates. Victory would be like you conquered somebody in a sport or even a war.
