1. Verb stem + 아/어/여 놓다 means "finish an action and keep the status"
ex)
더우니 문을 열어 놓아라.
It's hot, so open the door and keep it open.
그는 서류를 받아 놓았다.
He received the document and kept it.
2. Adjective stem + 아/어/여 놓다 used for "emphasizing a certain state is lasting"
Usually used as "~아/어/여 놓아서"
ex)
저 섬은 너무 작아 놓아서 지도에도 안 나온다.
That island is too small to display on a map.
그는 워낙 약해 놓아서 겨울이면 꼭 감기가 든다.
He is so weak that he never skips catching cold in winter.
