little- youth
this is fairly confusing
when talking about ants , what do you say
they feed the ants´ Little/ youth/ young/ new ''???
Also, how can an adjective be left on their own following a n article??
Thanks
I would say "the ants' young." The word "young" is sometimes used as noun to refer to the babies of any given animal. So, it is not "an adjective being left on it's own," it is, in fact, a noun here.

I would most likely say 'baby ants ', but I am not sure if that is scientically correct or not.
