Help with English-Italian translation
Hello everyone,
can somebody please tell me what "bracket" means in the following sentence?
"Select two sodium chloride standard solutions which closely bracket the expected value of the freezing point of the sample to be tested".

While science is not my subject, but to bracket would normally be either side of the value, so in this case it would been solutions that would be just above and below the freezing point.
