Tell me please, what does this abbreviation mean: 'a ? For example "I'm 'a let you go"

It's a squashed-up version of "I am going to".
I'm going to --> I'm gonna --> I'm 'a.
It's good to know. Even better to never use it.

In English, if you are quoting someone who is quoting someone else, you would express it in writing like so: “She wondered if, ‘Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing’ was true?" The ‘a looks like a typing mistake.

Такого сокращения не существует. Это просто личный вариант говорящего. "A" в данном случае имеет функцию неопределенного артикля. Если дословно, то это предложение можно перевести так: "Я, позволяющий уйти тебе, человек."
