It always makes me very happy when I meet people who are interested in my language.
I will teach you pronunciation using my experience as an announcer.

I was born and raised in Tokyo.
I have over 5 years of experience teaching at a Japanese language school in Tokyo. I am a qualified Japanese teacher.
I had a beautiful grandmother who wore a kimono every day, so I had the opportunity to wear a kimono from an early age.
I am interested in learning about cultures, and have traveled abroad about 40 times, visiting 20 countries and making discoveries and learning.Me as a Teacher
I became a Japanese language teacher because I wanted to introduce Japanese culture and learn about the cultures of various countries.
There are students from various countries at the Japanese language school, and I think it's wonderful that they are all connected by friendship, regardless of politics.
I try to teach bright and fun classes and teach with patience.

I had my first class with Masami先生. She gave me a number of options to read from and I chose the most difficult one (the regular NHK news) maybe, but it was very good practice. She corrected my accent as we went. I tend to cut short long vowels or do the opposite, and I haven't really memorized the pitch pattern of words, so I have many things to correct and practice, but Masami先生 helped me practice and explained very clearly what I had to do with each word when I made a mistake. Thank you very much for the class.

Again, Masami sensei was very patient and kind, even when I didn't understand! We are now working from a textbook. I look forward to more excellent lessons with Masami.

Another very good lesson. We learned some new vocabulary and phrases to use when shopping, looked more at numbers, and at how to tell the time. Masami sensei also showed me some of her amazing kimono sashes! A great teacher, who provides really helpful resources and is very patient.
