Been self-motivated in learning English for almost 20 years. Lived in France for 2 years and came back last year. B2 level for grammar but lack in vocabulary. Also, terrible at listening. (Well, French people are not the most patient to have a conversation with...) I'm seeking: 1) English native speakers (American, Canadian, British, Australian) - who can correct me when I make a mistake. 2) French native speakers with good level of English - who is patient, can try to speak slowly when needed - who ENJOYS having exchanges

Old-fashioned exclamation "Whatever" Hi, I'm wondering if there's any old-fashioned exclamation that is used when you want to say "Whatever!" Or I don't really know how to put it but when a kid gets mad and puffs their cheeks out, what would they say? I want something you hear in a cheap 80's TV series and I want it to sound as tacky as possible lol I'm working on a translation and I need help! Thanks in advance.

「教えずにはおかない」doesn't make sense. The closest one you meant is perhaps 「教えずにはいられない」and it means "I can't help but teach". So they don't mean the same.

    1) Before counter it's always なん i.e.) 何時(なんじ)、何月(なんがつ)、何人(なんにん)、何円(なんえん) 2) Before particle, it's always なに i.e.) なにが (What is) なにを (Do what) なにに (To what) なにで (With what) Except for の particle, it's always なん. 3) The rest... depends on the words and ender. ◯なんだ ×なにだ "What?" (manly) ◯なによ ×なんよ "What?" (feminine) ◯何様(なにさま) ×何様(なんさま) "Who do you think you are?" ◯何人(なんびと)たりとも ×何人(なにびと) たりとも (Nobody)

They're grammatically correct but "最近何がありますか?" "疲れましたからすぐに寝ます。" These two don't sound natural. "最近何がありますか?" I assume you want to say something like "What are you up to?" I would say "最近どうですか?”. "疲れましたからすぐに寝ます。" から (because) sounds too casual to be used with polite form. So ましたから is weird. 疲れたから is better. But 疲れたので is better if you want to end the sentence with 寝ます。 I hope it answered your question!

    日本語の日付

    日本語の曜日と月と日付の呼び方は覚え難いです。なぜ4月は シガツ と言って、4日は よっか というなんですかなんでしょう?もうもっと良く勉強しなければならないなぁ。

    私も小さい頃、なんで?と思いながら覚えました。1日が「ついたち」で20日が「はつか」とか。
    でもね、これはもう覚えるしかないです、そういうものですから。
