Unlock Wolof with a Passionate Teacher: Customized, Immersive Learning and Speaking from Day 1! www.thewoloftranslator.com Hello everyone! My name is Awa. I am deeply passionate about the brain, learning languages, and teaching them. I am fluent in Wolof, French, and English and proficient in Spanish. Currently, I am delving into German, Russian, Arabic, and Mandarin. Learning a new language doesn't have to be boring—it's a life-changing skill. We develop a unique personality in each language we learn, broadening our perspectives on the world, and other cultures and societies. I love traveling and am always ready for the next adventure. I am eager to learn about your journey that led you to Italki! With years of teaching languages to kids and adults under my belt, I've learned what works best. Instead of focusing on memorizing vocabulary lists, I say LET'S START SPEAKING FROM DAY 1! Unlike typical classes that stress too much on grammar and writing, I put the spotlight on improving speaking and listening skills. TWO KEY PRINCIPLES: EXPOSURE and ASSOCIATION My approach to teaching deviates from the conventional classroom style which, in my experience, can often be dull. Today Awa brought a guest to class to encourage dialogue. This pushed me to answer questions and ask questions to someone new. It also allowed me to hear a different accent and adapt to hearing a different speed. Thank you Awa for always challenging me on the road to conversational fluency.

Awa is always prepared for the lesson. I really appreciate that she explain the grammar so I can understand the logic. That way i don't have to strictly rely on drills.
