I have a wide-ranging and substantial (10+ years) teaching track record. Specifically, since June 2020, I have taught over 4000 lessons in Ancient and Modern Greek language to children and adults from all over the world.
I have helped 200+ learners achieve fluency in Greek, and my students so far have achieved a 100% success rate at the Greek language proficiency exams (Certification of Attainment in Greek).
I'm a strong advocate of student-centered learning, and I always strive to facilitate an empowering environment for my clients, so their minds can think creatively, keeping away from feelings of self-doubt, perfectionism, and anxiety. My lessons & teaching style

I have been learning Ancient Greek for about 4 months with Sofia. She has been very helpful with my Exam preparation, and is currently helping me to revise all of my Greek in this book that my University has provided. Everytime I learn from her she makes it so much fun and makes me feel very comfortable which makes it more easier for me to improve my proficiency with my pronunciation and reading ability.
I recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Ancient Greek!

Sofia is a gem of a teacher! I am genuinely so excited to have lessons with her each week! I am speaking so much more Greek as a result. With many mistakes, of course, but always corrected with a smile! My goal is to banish my shyness in speaking and be able to speak more to my great aunt in Athens when we visit her for Easter holidays. Sofia is absolutely helping me with this!

Lessons with Sofia are always productive. She is patient and able to puzzle out what I'm trying to communicate.
Before correcting a mistake, she will indicate something is missing and let me try to find it on my own first. This helps me go back and actually review what I've written or said.
I'm constantly surprised by how much we speak in class and the quantity of vocabulary I've picked up in the last couple months. Looking forward to the next lesson!
