Reception volunteer To whom it may concern, I am writing about the reception volunteer position that I read about it on your official website. Are you still accepting volunteers for this July and August period? I am working for a school. Before this, I worked for an American charity called Little Flower Projects (China Little Flower) as a volunteer coordinator, welcoming visitors and donors, managing donations. During my internship as a Butler Service Desk Operator (Telephone operator) at The St. Regis, I handled incoming communication, delivered emails, assisted other apartments with client information. I also work for an American telecommunications company, calling operators to make sure lines are working. I have a lot of time available during my school holidays, so I am eager to take on meaningful work related to my passion. I stayed in different monasteries in the US and Thailand. Thank you for your consideration. I am looking forward to your reply. Kind regards, Xin

Before talking about food, I have a question for my foreign friends. Do the sence of "麻” from Sichuan pepper(please check the picture below) or others seasonings exist in your country? I really don't know how to desribe "麻” in English, but I want to have a try to explain this sence to you. If we sit too long, our legs will go numb as we stand up. we also call this feeling "麻” in Chinese. when patients are going to have a surgery, they will be anaesthetized first. We call this feeling "麻”, too! You might have felt the feeling in your mind. So, imagine that you eat some seasonings which can give your tongue a strong feeling that likes the feeling mentioned above, it called"麻” in Chinese culture。 After explaining this feeling , I really hope that the food I introduce next will make you to be mouthwatering. It called "麻辣烫”(please enjoy the pictures below, too!)I have explained “麻”. “辣”means spicy。 “烫” is a verb which means that you put some ingredients into a certain container ( please check the picture below) and put it into a tasty broth for a while to make sure the ingredients are cooked thoroughly. Then put the ingredients into a pot and add the seasonings which create the sences of "麻”and "辣”. Stir the ingredients to let the flavor equilibrate, then enjoy it! I usually eat it every two to three days. I will eat it for lunch soon, but I am so sad that you, my best friends couldn't enjoy it with me.
