Todo el español (de principiantes a avanzados)

Esta es una clase de conversación para practicar tu desempeño oral en esta maravillosa lengua. Podemos hablar de temas muy variados de acuerdo a tus gustos y aficiones.

This is a conversation class to improve your talking skills. We could talk about many different subjects according to your interests, work or hobbies.

De preferencia, niveles B1, B2, C1 y C2. If your level is A1-A2, I recommend you take a few language-essentials lessons first.

Hablemos en español

Este tipo de clase está dirigida a estudiantes de nivel intermedio o avanzado que tengan un interés especial en la literatura hispanoamericana. Podemos leer y conversar sobre la obra narrativa de los grandes autores clásicos de Hispanoamérica como Julio Cortázar, García Márquez, Rosario Ferré, Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Rosario Castellanos, José Donoso, Rulfo, Benedetti o incluso obras más contemporáneas como las de Enrique Serna, Eduardo Sacheri, Fernanda Melchor o Claudia Piñeiro. Si te encanta la literatura en español, esta clase es para ti.

¿Te gustan las películas? ¿Tienes debilidad por el cine español o el latinoamericano? Tengo una lista muy extensa de recomendaciones que podemos compartir. Si quieres, podemos hablar de películas de diferentes plataformas como Netflix, AppleTV, Prime o Mubi. Tal vez tú tengas alguna recomendación que yo no conozca. En nuestro cineclub en español, podemos conversar de forma individual o puedes incluso formar tu grupo de "amiguetes" para que la sesión les resulte a todos mucho más barata. ¡A disfrutar el buen cine! This was my first experience teaching Spanish as a second language. I taught the first two levels of the language (A1-A2). It was part of my scholarship as a graduate student at the Department of French, Italian and Spanish.

Taught different courses. Mainly, Latin American literature (short-story / novel) and cinema.

Teaching Spanish as a second language to anglophone university students. First two courses of the language (A1-A2).

Teaching Spanish as a second language to francophone university students in Montreal. I believe this experience is the most relevant.

Teaching different courses to pre-university students. Mainly, Spanish as a second language (A1-A2), humanities, and international cinema.

Even though the students are native speakers of Spanish, my course deals with oral expression. I believe this can also be relevant experience.
