In our trial lesson, we will assess your level, discuss your learning goals and background, and talk about the structure and methodology of my lessons.

• 60-Minute Class: Each class focuses on 1 topic—anything from technology to travel! During the lesson, you’ll watch real-world videos, read authentic articles, share your opinions, and be introduced to new vocabulary. This class focuses on improving your speaking, listening, and reading skills. All corrections will be given in the Zoom chat. No homework or preparation is needed. [Levels: B1 - C2]

• 30-Minute Class: 15 questions, 30 minutes—let’s talk! In this fast-paced class, we’ll chat about various topics and you’ll receive corrections on your pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary usage. You will also be introduced to new words and expressions to expand your vocabulary. This class focuses 100% on speaking/listening. All corrections will be given in the Zoom chat. Audio-only lessons are available at your convenience. No homework/preparation is required. [Levels: B1 - C2]

[If you are interested in writing practice, job interview/exam preparation, homework assignments, etc. please book an "English Workshop" class instead. All classes are conducted on Zoom. ]

Guided Conversation  [No Homework]

This course is designed for intermediate to advanced (B1-C2) English students who want to improve their skills in all aspects of language (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). This class is ideal for students who want to prepare for exams such as IELTS which include a writing section.

What will my lesson be like?

• Before our lesson, you will select and complete a homework assignment from my website. These assignments cover a wide range of topics and are based on authentic video material (news reports, TED Talks, interviews, etc.).  After watching the video, you will answer comprehension questions, complete vocabulary exercises, and write a 3+ paragraph essay on the topic. Homework is required and should be submitted at least a day before the lesson time. 

• During our Zoom meeting, we will analyze your essay and complete grammar/vocabulary exercises based completely on the errors in your essay. By using your essay as the basis of our lesson, I will be able to efficiently identify gaps in your knowledge and avoid wasting time on learning things you've already mastered.  After we finish working through your essay, we will continue discussing the topic in greater depth through an authentic text.

• Students will receive a password to access the homework platform before the lesson. An individual Google Doc with class notes & corrections will be sent to each student.

English Workshop: Reading, Writing, Speaking, & Listening [+Homework]

IELTS teacher preparation course focused on assessment criteria and terminology, key features of performance, writing assessment method, application of public Band Descriptors, and practice in using the public Band Descriptors.

This online course prepared teachers to teach English online by exploring the tools and teaching skills
needed to develop learners’ language skills in both one-to-one and group online lessons.

CELTA courses are delivered by Authorised Centres on behalf of Cambridge Assessment English. All CELTA courses include at least 120 hours of contact between candidates and course tutors. The CELTA course covers a range of topics:

-Learners and teachers, and the teaching and learning context
-Language analysis and awareness
-Language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing
-Planning and resources for different teaching contexts
-Developing teaching skills and professionalism
