This trail class will teach you the very basics of python.  If for example you already have a basic understanding of Python and would like to focus on a specific area, then please inform the teacher about what you would like to be taught in the class.  

If you prefer to just practice you speaking and not learn Python, then please tell the teacher before the class so as to give time to prepare a class that suits your needs.

It is recommended that you install Python beforehand so as not to waste valuable time in the class getting it set up.  If you need help getting it installed, please contact the teacher before the class.

These classes will introduce to young learners the fundamentals of python. Python For Beginners (For Teens and Children)

This class will allow you to practice your English speaking.  It is asked that you provide the topic you would like to discuss during the the class.  The teacher will take note of any mistakes you make and can correct them at the end of the class, or right after the mistake is made.

A structured class can also be provided to the student with listening, reading and speaking activities.  This lesson is available for adults and children.

English Conversation

This lesson is designed for young students to practice their speaking while playing together over a shared Minecraft server.  Before the lesson, make sure to have Minecraft installed.  During the lesson, we communicate over the selected video call service while playing together on the server.  We will learn how to play the game and any vocabulary the student in unfamiliar with. I’m still fairly new to Minecraft myself, but I use it as a fun way to build teamwork and communication skills. Sometimes we’ll try to defeat the Ender Dragon together, and other times we’ll focus on building projects.

Of course, some students get more caught up in the game than in speaking, so I create activities that encourage more communication. For example, we might decide to build something, but the student can’t actually place the blocks—they can only give me instructions in English. This way, they stay engaged with the game while practicing language at the same time.

The goal is to make sure the focus stays on using English naturally, while still keeping the lessons fun and interactive.
