意味は、トップの人、力、とかそんな感じです。

例えば、

・王道ーおうどう　「王道」はもともと「簡単な道」「近道」などの意味でしたが、今は「正攻法」「なにかを進める時の1番間違いない方法」というような意味で使うことが多いです

・国王ーこくおう　King 国のトップ

・王座ーおうざ　王のポジション

・ホームラン王ーほーむらんおう　今年1番ホームランを打った人

・王手ーおうて　もとは将棋の言葉ですが、転じて今はスポーツなどで、優勝まであと一歩までに近づいていることをいいます。
