First and foremost, have you had issues with expressing your thoughts in English where you can't seem to choose the right word? Or choose an appropriate phrase. Whether in a job interview or an IELTS speaking test,?

An answer may lie in the field of psychology.

There is a term'for'sabotaging your success'.

Self-sabotage occurs when we destroy ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, or deliberately to hinder our own success and wellbeing by undermining personal goals and values (Brenner, 2019).

It is “insidious, profound, and universal” and emanates from negative mindsets (Berg, 2015).

I hope it's not too technical; I wanted to share a certain perspective on the topic from a researcher's perspective.

Self-sabotage is rooted in counterproductive mindsets, including negativity, disorganization, indecisiveness, and negative self-talk.

In today's podcast, my goal was to illustrate through my student's story how you can fail without noticing any reasons, and my deeper goal is to help you succeed. Movie Review: Downton Abbey - The end of an era

في أرضٍ قاسية،
حيث الصخر أقوى من التراب،
وحيث البيوت تُنحت في الجبال،
عاش قومٌ يُعرفون بـ ثمود.

كانوا أقوياء،
يبنون بيوتًا لا تهزّها الرياح،
ويظنّون أن القوة
تحميهم من كل شيء.

إليهم أرسل الله
نبيَّه صالحًا عليه السلام.

وقف صالح بينهم،
لا يحمل سيفًا،
ولا يطلب مالًا،
بل كلمة واحدة:

أن اعبدوا الله،
ولا تفسدوا في الأرض.

تعجّب القوم.
قالوا:
كيف نترك ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا؟
كيف نؤمن بكلمة،
ونحن نملك الحجر والقوة؟

طلبوا آية.
علامةً يرونها بأعينهم.

فجاءتهم الناقة.
خرجت من الصخر،
آيةً واضحة،
لا شكّ فيها.

قال لهم صالح:
هذه ناقةُ الله،
لها شرب،
ولكم شرب،
ولا تمسّوها بسوء.

لكن القلوب التي تعلّقت بالقوة
لم تفهم معنى الأمانة.

نظروا إلى الناقة
لا كآية،
بل كتهديد.

وفي لحظة طيش،
قطعوا ما أمرهم الله بحفظه.

وقف صالح عليه السلام
حزينًا،
وقال:
تمتّعوا في داركم ثلاثة أيام.

ثم جاء الوعد.
لم تهدم بيوتهم الرياح،
ولا سقطت الجبال،
لكن سقط الكبرياء.

وبقيت القصة.

قصة تقول لنا:
ليست القوة في الحجر،
ولا في البيوت العالية،
بل في قلبٍ يعرف
متى يؤمن…
ومتى يتواضع.
