In English exams like the IELTS test, there are speaking or writing questions that require critical thinking skills. If you feel weak in this area, you’re not alone. Many people do. ***What is critical thinking?***

It may also be about understanding when some important information is missing, and being able to gather the extra information that you need. In your work life or student life, these skills are vital for finding solutions to problems. If you have them and can present your analyses to other people effectively, you will be a valued member of any forward-thinking team.

Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

今日のPodcastは、物を捨てるのが大変、について話します。



ぼくは今、北海道から引っ越すための準備をしています。
もともと、できるだけ物を少なくして生活していましたが、それでも、引越の時には、持ち物が多いことに気づきます。


国によって違うと思いますが、日本では、ゴミの分別がとても細かいです。地域にもよります。

燃えるゴミ
燃えないゴミ
プラスチック
ペットボトル
缶
ビン
金属
大型ゴミ
生活家電

などに分けて出します。

それぞれのゴミを出せる日は違いますし、入れる袋も決まっています。その袋はコンビニやスーパーで買う必要があります。

例えば、今住んでいるところでは、
燃えるゴミは月曜と木曜
資源ゴミは火曜
燃えないゴミは水曜
などと決まっています。

決まった曜日に、決まった袋に入れてゴミ捨て場に置かないと、ゴミ回収の人は持っていってくれません。


それから、家電4種類はお金を払って回収してもらいます。
テレビ
冷蔵庫
洗濯機
エアコン

新しく買い替える時も同じようにお金を払わないといけません。


日常のゴミを分けるのも大変ですが、引越の時に物を捨てるときはもっと大変です。

特に大きいものが大変です。
今回の引越では荷物をほとんどゼロにしたいと考えていました。


それで、今回ははじめて、リサイクルショップに回収をお願いしました。2つの会社に依頼して、たくさんの持ち物を持っていってもらいました。

リサイクルショップの人に家に来てもらって、大きな物、例えば洗濯機などを買ってくれましたし店に直接持っていって、たくさん買ってもらうこともできました。


金額は決して大きくないですが、それでもただ捨てるのではなく、誰かに使ってもらえるんだと思うと、いいサービスだなと思いました。

もしこれから日本に住む予定のある人は、ぜひリサイクルショップを見つけて行ってみてください。いろんなものが安い値段で見つかると思いますよ。

また、これから日本の中で引越をする予定で、捨てる物をどうしようか考えている人は、ぜひ近くのリサイクルショップを見つけて行ってみてください。いろいろ見つかると思いますよ！
