We have a lot of rain during Tsuyu, which is rainy seaon in Japan.  It's especially hot and muggy in this season from the end of July to mid. July.  I think we've had more rain than usual this year. Because of that, there are damages in various places.

今日は2023年7月13日。　
今年の梅雨は　ほんとうによく雨が降ります。
６月の終わりごろ、テレビで天気予報を聞いていたら、こんなことを言っていました。日本は、沖縄で梅雨が明けたら、九州、四国、本州、北海道が　梅雨に入ると。　
今年２０２３年は　６月２５日に沖縄の梅雨が明けました。　そして、入れ替わるように、日本のほとんどが梅雨入りしました。　
日本気象協会の雨雲レーダーの過去の記録を見てみました。６月―７月は雨雲が日本列島にかかっていない日は、ほとんどないぐらい　日本のどこかで雨が降っています。
私が住んでいるところは、あまり強い雨が降っていませんが、今年は九州や日本海側の雨がすごいです。　線状降水帯という現象が発生しています。これは、雨雲が次々と大きくなってつながり、数時間、同じ場所に　はげしい雨が降る現象です。　例えば、３時間に約２００～３００ミリを超える雨が降ったりします。このように、短い時間に　たくさんの雨が降るので、川から水があふれだしたり、山が崩れたりします。　早めに安全な場所に逃げることができればいいのですが、夜　寝ている時や朝早い時間に　起きると、逃げることもできない人もいます。　今年も　土砂崩れが起きて、家が押しつぶされたというニュースをいくつか聞きました。運よく助かる人のいれば、残念ながら　土砂崩れに巻き込まれてしまう人もいます。　
今日も朝からずっと　曇り空。夕方になって、雷が鳴りだし、雨も降りだしました。私の部屋は　気温28℃、湿度６０％です。部屋の中はエアコンをつけているので、たぶん、外の気温と湿度はもう少し高いでしょう。　気象庁の梅雨明けの予想は７月１８日ごろからとなっています。梅雨が明ければ、夏本番！　日差しが一段ときつくなります。　体調をくずさないようにしたいものです。皆さんも、お気を付けてお過ごしくださいね。
