" [00:33] And here's a rough translation. " A boat on the sea Rocking quietly As the sun sets " [00:44] And today's grammar is -de/-da, the locative suffix. It means 'at', 'in', or 'on'. [00:55] Deniz, on its own, means 'the sea'. [01:00] You might already have heard that. [01:03] You might even have a friend named Deniz. It's also a given name. And it's even gender-neutral, but let's not digress, shall we? [01:15] You add the locative suffix, -de to 'deniz', and you get 'denizde'. On the sea.
