Description
Sawasdee ka! I'm Cake. In this first episode, I'll explain why the word "ให้" (hâi) is about much more than just "giving" an object. The Logic Equation: [Action] + ให้ + [Receiver] = Doing something for someone. Examples from the episode: ตัดผมให้พ่อ (Tad-pom HAI Por) = Cutting hair for Dad. ตัดผมให้ตัวเอง (Tad-pom HAI tua-eng) = Cutting hair for myself. 🇭🇰 Cantonese Bridge: Think of it exactly like 「俾」(bei2). Example: 幫爸爸剪髮 ➔ 剪髮「俾」爸爸。 🎧 Practice: Listen to the examples in the audio and try to repeat after me to practice your tones!
