粤语中的「第四声＋第四声」音调组合（Tone Pair 4–4）对母语是普通话的学习者来说常常很难掌握。因为粤语的第四声和普通话的第三声在音高上很接近。但普通话中有「变调规则」，比如“洗脸”（xǐ liǎn）常常读作“xí liǎn”，学习者习惯了一个字自动变成第二声。在粤语中就没有这种变化，所以连续发出两个低降调的音会让人不习惯。本集我们将一起练习这些容易读错的发音组合，进行短时间而集中的训练！

Tone Pair 4–4 in Cantonese can be tricky for Mandarin speakers because the pitch of Cantonese Tone 4 is similar to Mandarin Tone 3. However, Mandarin has tone sandhi rules where Tone 3 changes to Tone 2 in words like 洗臉 (xǐ liǎn → xí liǎn), so Mandarin speakers aren't used to keeping two low tones in a row. Another adventurous thing I’d really want to try would be scuba diving in the gorgeous coral reefs, as well as relaxing on some of the stunning beaches. I'm sure I would also be able to enjoy some amazing local food, and maybe even take a few cooking classes. As well as that, I’d also love to learn more about the fascinating history of the country.

I guess I would be a little nervous about the whole trip, but I’d also be very eager to get out there and explore. I'm sure there would be some bumps along the way, but hey, that would be all part of the adventure. I'm always ready to step out of my comfort zone and embrace the unknown.

I'm so looking forward to having an epic adventure in Vietnam one of these days, and I'm sure it would be an incredible experience and I’d have so many wonderful stories to share with everyone back home. I'm sure it won't be long before I'm actually packing my bags and hitting the road!
