Which connector could I use here?
Far from what we were used to, when physical work was done solely to survive, today's approach is certainly different. Thus/ moreover/ In this way...??the idea of working has evolved to become some sort of culture itself and now having a happy staff is essential.
Or does it sound ok using just a stop before 'the idea' . ?

The correct connector is thus :because it indicates a result, conclusion, or mannar. It's formal and concise way to show how one idea connects logically to another
