Howdy Henry. One of the most popular sites is Wani Kani. I do have to clarify that I have never used it myself, but I personally know a number of Japanese language learners who speak very highly of it.
Back when I was starting, I used what is called the “Heisig System”, a sort of mnemonic device approach that focuses on radicals. It was effective, but it was also very time-consuming, as it teaches the Kanji themselves separate from how they are actually read. So it requires you to go back and learn readings after you have learned to write. This does have the advantage of teaching you to write kanji by hand, something that is lacking in other approaches. Both the book and related videos on the Heisig system can be found for free online.
