I follow a girl in Instagram, she is from Colombia and her husband is Australian. She traveled to Australia to learn English and a few years later she met him. He didn´t speak spanish so one day he asked her: Do your family speak english? She said: No. And then he said: and how am I going to talk to your family? So he decided to learn spanish. Now he can talk with his wife´s family. I think THAT is the sweetest thing.
