Daddy worked at the slaughterhouses of Carmaux, a former mining town in the southwest of france.
The mines have been closed for about 30 years, and now Carmaux is a dormitory town for people with little financial means. With its walls covered with dust and coal, it looks like a ghost town from a Stephen King novel, from which something disgusting and slimy will come out and kill everyone.
My beloved mommy was a housewife, she made us a refined cuisine, and she had to clean the 3 floors of the house, the lowest floor being the basement of the house of course.
And she only had a broom. And it was an ordeal to sweep the tons of dust from the basement.

Well my thoughtful daddy bought mom a vacuum cleaner. this is the greatest proof of love I have witnessed so far.

But I hope that I too will get married one day, when I have found a job, and I can give my wife an even greater proof of love.

My daddy worked in coal mines in a french town called Carmaux. The mines have been closed for more than 20 years now. The city of Carmaux has been deserted, the population has aged considerably It has become a dormitory town. There is always this mixture of dust and coal dust on the walls of the city which makes it hideous. 

It looks like a ghost town, morbid, from a Stephen King novel. A city from which a hideous and slimy thing will escape and decimate the population. 

My mommy was a housewife, she cooked us good food even though we only ate meat once a week. And she did the housework on a 3 storey house. She only had a simple broom at her disposal. 
The first floor was the basement, the cave. And sweeping the basement was an ordeal. 

Well, one day my daddy bought a vacuum cleaner for my mommy to make her life easier. This is the most adorable gesture of love I have ever witnessed from a husband to his wife.
