I went on a two-day short trip to Hong Kong. When my daughter was little, I often visited there for shopping for infant formula milk powder and baby products. Due to the Covid pandemic and other reasons, I havenāt (or hadnāt?)visited there in recent years. In my memory, the port was very busy, crowded by many people exiting and entering. There were always long lines waiting for going through the customs. Sometimes, that could take hours. Thankfully, it wasnāt the case this time. Yesterday m, with electric inspection machines, I passed through the customs very quickly.

I recently went on a short (two-day) trip to Hong Kong. When my daughter was an infant, I often went to Hong Kong to buy formula powder, as well as other baby products. However, because of the pandemic, and for other reasons, I hadn't travelled there in recent years. I recalled that the port of entry was often very busy, with many people exiting and entering, and that there were always long lines to go through customs. Sometimes, this could take hours. Thankfully, that wasnāt the case this time. Yesterday, with the new automated inspection machines, I passed through very quickly.
I think that two--day is redundant with short so I put it in parentheses. You could also possibly say "short, two-day" but short comes first typically.

Very good. Some minor suggestions in the style I would use. Of course, approaches can vary.
