I talked about Christmas Eve with my friend in the US. It was interesting to learn that in the US, the movie A Christmas Story is broadcast every year on Christmas Eve, just like Home Alone is in Japan. What movie is traditionally broadcast in your country on Christmas Eve?

In Algeria, there isn't a specific movie traditionally broadcast on Christmas Eve, as Christmas is not widely celebrated in the same way it is in countries like the US or Japan. However, in recent years, some television stations may air Christmas-themed content, especially in larger cities or on international channels. People who celebrate Christmas might enjoy watching popular holiday movies, but there's no widespread tradition like the one you're describing.

I don't think there is a particular film that is always broadcast in the UK. Christmas movies are broadcast - Home Alone, Elf, It's a Wonderful Life, etc. There isn't one that is always broadcast though.

Hi Nissy! It's so interesting to hear that people like to watch Home Alone on Christmas Eve in Japan! In the U.S., watching the movie "Elf" in schools around Christmas is also very common. What other unique traditions can you find in Japan during that time of year?
