Day 3/7 JK uniforms in China I have a friend, Sunny, who often wears JK uniforms
that are inspired by Japanese high school uniforms. And that is the reason why I
got to know more about them. A set of JK uniform includes a cute plaid skirt,
usually with a high waist, as well as a shirt or T-shirt with a bow tie matching
the skirt. All I can see in her wardrobe are a lot of sets of JK uniforms and
nothing else. These uniforms are always in different colors and plaid patterns, it is hard for me to recognize the difference between these patterns. Plus,
each of them has a special and beautiful name that is relevant to their colors
and styles. Many of these JK uniforms are very rare and thus, popular with their
targeted consumers. Sometimes she needs us to help her to do the clothes grab (
rush to buy the clothes because there are too few of them) on Taobao, which is a
big E-commerce platform in China. Basically, we can hardly see any girls
wearing these uniforms. Instead, they're more commonly seen in comics and animes.
And Sunny told me that when she started becoming interested in wearing JK
uniforms 4 years ago, there were even fewer girls wearing them. Therefore, every
time when she went out, she could feel that there were many people staring at
her with curiousity and surprise. However, now it is more popular for girls to wear
JK uniform as a casual daily outfit, especially in spring when people hang out
more often. As for Sunny, she is a very indoorsy person who often stays at home
and sets her own sleep schedule. And she is a big fan of Japanese animation
which is also the reason why she is so interested in JK uniforms. Apart from
that, she is a quite smart and decisive person who can always figure out and
stick to her own decisions. Thanks in advance for reading and your correction!
