“Damn” or “damn it” are best and will signify you are upset. A soft variation like “dang” is fine, but would imply you’re actually not very angry. Funny substitutions like “fudge” or “fiddlesticks” are not appropriate in the situation you’re describing. People would laugh and not realize you’re actually upset.
