Community TutorI always have trouble with é and è and e and ë. Is there a way to learn this or practice? Maybe a word that is used as an example.
HELP!

When I teach the pronunciation of those 2 letters, I tell my students to look at where the accent go.
Basically with " é" -- your tone go up
With "è " -- go down.
Example: élève (student).
Été (summer) - your tone stay up
Mère (mother) - tone go down.

Alright. Let's say that
è and ë have a similar pronunciation, like you pronounce " ai "
For é, its pronunciation is really close "et"
Finally, the typical e is pronounced like the "euuuh"
You'll get use to them by practicing don't worry!

so the é is pronounced just like the Italian e
the è and ë are close to the Italian è
and for the normal e, I'll send you a voice message
