Today I invigilated two exams, one was in the morning, one was in the afternoon. The exam was a National English test, administered by the ministry of Education. It examines English proficiency of college students. This was the first time I have been a invigilator(or- test monitor?). Usually I don’t need to do it, but this year, during the pandemic, everything is different. We need more classrooms and hence more staff to monitor the test. We were out of resources. So I joined in. I saw some interesting things in the exam. Although this is an important test, young students still miss this and that🤣. In the exam, students need to use a pencil to mark the letter in the answer sheet, and if you want to modify anything on the sheet, they have to use an eraser. Yet, there was a girl who had forgotten to bring a pencil and eraser. So I had to ask other students to lend her the pencil and eraser. A student forgot her watch and was worried she could not make good use of her time during the test. Some just forgot to come to take the exam😂.

Although this is an important test, young students still manage to forget this and that🤣. In the exam, students need to use a pencil to mark the letter corresponding to the correct answer on the answer sheet, and if they want to modify anything on the sheet, they have to use an eraser. Yet, there was a girl who had forgotten to bring a pencil and eraser. So I had to ask other students to lend her the pencil and eraser. A student forgot her watch and was worried she could not make good use of her time during the test. Some just forgot to turn up for the exam😂!
Super effort, Isabella! "Invigilator" is the better and more common option, although "test-monitor" is easily understood. Should you have any other queries, give me a shout! Light and peace! ☝🏽🙏🏽🤲🏽🔥🌞🕊️🌈🌠
