Written Exercise 197 – A HUGE BIRD RACES WITH CARS IN A BUSY ROAD DURING THE RUSH HOURS Just now, I read an online article. It said at 8 in the morning on June 22nd, a 67 inch ostrich racing on a very busy road in Foshan, Guangdong, China. The driving cars on the road had to slow down to avoid running into the huge bird, with the result that there was a traffic jam. As more and more reports came into the authorities, they were taken seriously. In the meantime, a man who claimed the ostrich’s owner said that he had two and somehow one managed to escape. Then a traffic policeman rode him with his motorbike to chase the bird. Finally, the man held the ostrich and led it to the roadside. The traffic jam had gone.

Written Exercise 197 – A HUGE BIRD RACES WITH CARS IN A BUSY ROAD DURING THE RUSH HOURS Just now, I read an online article. It said at 8 in the morning on June 22nd, a 67 inch tall ostrich was racing (or running) on a very busy road in Foshan, Guangdong, China. The cars (or the drivers) on the road had to slow down to avoid running into the huge bird, with the result that there was a traffic jam. As more and more reports came into (or were received by) the authorities, they were taken seriously. In the meantime, a man who claimed to be the ostrich’s owner said that he had two and somehow one had managed to escape. Then a traffic policeman gave him a lift on his motorbike to chase the bird. Finally, the man caught the ostrich and led it to the roadside. The traffic jam had gone.
