Hi Molly. For American English, none of the choices are good for sentence #11.

Although it is a little unclear , the correct answer for number 11 is IN ... meaning during lessons.

The sentence should terminate at "writing". I don't even understand the word "lessons". It could mean the material that is taught, or the classroom hours, or exercises the student had to write.
