1) Install the "Netflix dual subtitle for learning languages" Chrome extension.
This extension allows you to:
-See two subtitles at the same time. Maybe you're watching Las Chicas del Cable and want both Spanish and English subs.
-Change the font size of the language you're learning. This way your eyes will see the Spanish subs first.
-Select and copy text in subtitles
-See furigana on top of Japanese text
-Change the playback speed
-Rewind one subtitle line at a time
-Show you all audio tracks and subtitle tracks available, and more.

2) Install the Google Dictionary Chrome extension.
This extension, together with the one above, will allow you to see automatic translations of any text you select from the subtitles. Double-click to translate a word, or select a phrase while holding a trigger key to translate phrases. You can choose a trigger key such as Command or Ctrl for this.
3) Search for a language name or country name
If you type "Spanish" in the Netflix search box in a computer, Netflix will offer categories that would normally be hidden, such as "Spanish language movies" and "Spanish language TV shows". If you type "Español", "España", or "Spain", Netflix will offer "Películas y programas de TV españoles" (meaning, from Spain), among others. Try also "México", "Colombia", "Argentina", etc.
4) Prioritize high frequency vocabulary
You'll find a lot of new words. You might want to learn them all, but ain't nobody got time for that, right? Please get yourself a frequency dictionary for the language you're learning. Every time you find a new word, check if it's in the frequency dictionary, and if it is, add it to your SRS/Anki/Memrise/Goldlist/whatever it is you use to keep track of new words.
5) Add context to your flashcards
Do you want to recall a more memorable, more vivid mental image of each word each time you review your flashcards? Then make sure to add a line or two from the movie/TV show where you originally found the word. Remembering that a gangster called someone "Perro" and reading that dialogue again every time you review the "perro" card is a LOT more memorable than just adding the English translation.

Hi, Susan. It's just 1 USD a month after that. Totally worth it, in my opinion. I tried similar Chrome extensions, and this is the one that works the best. If for any reason the subtitles don't load, just reload the page. I believe this extension is created by a Japanese guy. I have no affiliation with him. I left him a comment suggesting a new feature and he added the feature in the following release.
