We learn new things and skills so we can do new things.
To study simply means to examine something very closely. Sometimes we have to study something to learn, but sometimes not. My grandmother loved to study her cat's behaviour because it made her smile.

Study means to examine information.

Learn means that you have been able to save the information in your brain, you remember it now and can use it.

A few examples:

I studied my Chemistry textbooks but I was never able to learn the meaning of the periodic table.

I put forth a lot of effort to study Spanish grammar and now I have learned how to speak Spanish properly.

I learned that my mom has a fear of heights when I heard her story.

I studied the sign carefully to try to understand the restrictions.

When you study you actually sit down with your notes and books and memorize what you need to know. In the process, you learn new things!
Studying is the action you do actively, and learning is what happens as a result.
E.g.
I study for my exams in the library.
I learned two new English expressions today.
