I think besides Africa, why do they get it so often and seriously?

I watch discovery too they talk about some of cases that also come from USA. I heard that it is not convenient to see doctor in USA. Do you inject something that can get ride of parasite forever?  or because farm life? do you have some skill to prevent it?
