Hi, Camila!

I am not certain what the instructions were, but my sentences below mean the same as the example ones (you had already answered most to them...) .

1) The problem we were faced with was a serious one-CAME

The problem that came to us was a serious one.

2) Tom, wouldn't it be a good idea to take the students swimming tomorrow?-HOW

Tom, how about taking the students swimming tomorrow?

3) I'm worried about that bruise on your hand.-LOOK

I don't like the look of that bruise on your hand.

4) Susan had no success with her plans to work abroad, unfortunately.-THROUGH

5) I hope you were not discouraged by Sandra from going to the concert.- PUT

6) It's difficult for Paul to decide what to do.-MIND

7) I never find time to tidy my desk.- ROUND

I never round up enough time to tidy up my desk. (I am not 100% certain about this one, but it is the only thing that makes sense to me as "round up" means to gather. A use with just "Round" by itself, is beyond me ...)

8) We must take as much advantage as possible of any opportunity to speak English.-MOST

We have to make the most of any opportunity to speak English.
