Yuta Sugano
The real meaning of my name in Cebuano language Maayong buntag !! Ako si Yuta. Usa ko ka japones. I'm studying Cebuano language because I went to Cebu island once and I'm interested in the language and its culture. Today I ask you all cebuano speakers the meaning of my name "Yuta" in the language because I have a friend from the island I sometimes talk with and she said to me that my name means "ground" or " soil" like that. Ok, it's ok. No problem but she also said that there is another meaning of my name that she didn't want to tell me because according to her, it's something horrible. It's a bit hard to discover real meaning of my name, haha so I will be so happy if you tell me that although the meaning is something horrible, haha. Thanks!!

Hi, Yuta! Your name only has ONE meaning in Cebuano, and it means soil. However, your name and yutá (soil) have different pronunciations. I think what your friend is trying to say is your name rhymes with or sounds like the phrase used when explicitly asking someone to have sex with them, though this phrase is rarely used. And when used, it is mostly just for fun.
