まんが 漫画　manga ....comics

I'm known I've found out from this site that Manga is a proud Japanese culture.
Wanting to read comics magazines, some foreigners have been learning Japanese.
My mother used to say "Don't read a comic magazines! You should read some novels".

My son likes "Doraemon".
I want him to be interested in Japanese history.
So, I gave him the book "History of Japan with Doraemonn".
I hope he is pleased with it/I hope he likes it.

外国の人が　マンガを　読みたくて　日本語を　勉強しています。
私の　お母さんは　「マンガなんか　読んでは　いけません！　小説を　読みなさい」と　言っていました。

私の　息子は　ドラえもんが　好きです。
私は　彼に　日本の　歴史に　興味を　持ってほしいと　願っています。
だから、 「ドラえもんの日本史」 の　本を　あげました。
彼に　それを　楽しんで　ほしい。

wanting to read comic magazines, some foreigners have been learning /learn Japanese. <em>(in my opinion, using learn is more natural than have been learning)</em>
